Before Tsofen was established in 2008 there were only 350 Arab citizens of Israel working in hi-tech, representing just 0.5% of the hi-tech industry. Tsofen has helped this number rise to almost 3,000 and has contributed to a thriving hi-tech eco-system in Nazareth, the Galilee and all over Israel. On Thursday 15 October, Avirama Golan, co-chair of Sikkuy, gave a lunchtime lecture at UJIA and the Board of Deputies on the topic of why Arab citizens are needed in Israel's labour market. Seven British Jewish youth movements have developed an innovative new set of online resources to educate on Arab citizens of Israel, building upon previous work with the UK Task Force on e-resources tailored for each of the youth movements. The youth movements developed the resources in coordination with the UK Task Force.
